Relationship goals. I love these people. I will always go here just to be around such sweetness.
MoreI hate to leave bad reviews for small businesses, but I really don't understand how they are still open, I received the worst food I've probably ever eaten. Beware of the Ho Ho special, it appeared to be microwaved chicken tenders with brown gravy, rice and a hard (old?) egg roll. I went in with low expectations, but was genuinely impressed how bad the food was.
MoreVegan ho ho spring rolls $2!!
Love the homey atmosphere and teriyaki!
I never give such negative reviews.. But this place is the worst food I have EVER had. Food looked like microwaved meals. Not sure if this place is food safety compliant due to being so unclean.
MoreThe owners are the cooks and wait-staff, they care about their patrons, and make tasty food
MoreGreat food, fairly expensive, great service!
This place is amazing! Great food and our host was awesome
Nice elderly couple in that neck,of the woods. RARE
Hate to write such a negative review, but I want others to be warned. This is NOT the place to go for Teriyaki chicken. 5 small breaded pieces of chicken with no sauce, one scope of cold sticky rice with a very small amount of Teriyaki sauce on top and 4 tempera veggies dripping in oil all for over $10 and to top it off they don't take credit/debit cards.
MoreDelicious food!
Very good chicken. Loved it!
It was a special treat for my mother, sister an I to spend our lunch here. Sweet couple and delicious food. Talked zodiac signs and played Chinese checkers. Would reccomend.
MoreThe owner is very nice. It's traditional teriyaki. Very different from what im used to
MoreAn interesting spot in the basement of the flour mill. We just moved offices into this area and I stopped by for a to-go teriyaki plate. The owner was so kind & attentive. Food is food, but a bit different than I usually expect when ordering teriyaki with a homemade vibe. Good experience, and plan to come back for lunch in the future
MoreIt was alright had better. good service.
A little known Spokane secret, who has been with us for 30 years, and owner Ho Lan was a performer at the '74 world's fair. As much a part of Spokane's history as Riverfront park it's self. Wonderful folks! They are a quaint, calm, place without all the flashy marketing. Turn off your phones and just "be", not be seen. Thank you both for all the years you have been here for us!
MoreConversational, polite owner with great food!
Nice food!
Amazing food, amazing people! They make you feel so at home, they brought us a game to play while we waited for our food. Perfeft pre hockey game food! Awesome place to come! I'll be back every chance I get!
MoreI enjoy this place. The food, owners are both great, cute mom and pop homemade food. Ask for "The Game"
MoreDelicious, very reasonable priced, and very hospitable... their food has a really delicious home-cooked taste. Great atmosphere!!!
MoreThank you for the kindness. I ate egg roll, and it was tasty.I want to go there again. I recommend this shop.
MoreLoved it
The owners of this resturant are great! I have been going hre for years and have never been disappointed. If you want a good local eat on a budget I highly reccomend this one.
MoreDelicious teriyaki and very friendly owners. Food is fresh.
LOVE THIS LIL GEM!!!!! sweet lil old couple!!! Super friendly
Great food, great staff. We stopped there before going to a Spokane Shock game, and enjoyed the pleasant conversation, the fun table games. This is a hole in the wall, mom and pop, restaurants that have great food and make you feel like your at their home not a restaurant.
MoreI came here with my mom, and it was delicious! The owner is so kind and accommodating, and he makes sure his customers have what they need. It's a quaint little restaurant, and I recommend it.
MoreCharming owners, wonderful food.
The food was alright, but the owners are such lovely people! They're an adorable older couple that loves to talk about their family and the health benefits of brown rice. In order to pass the time while the food was made, one of the owners taught my table how to play Chinese checkers solitaire. She was very encouraging, despite our terrible strategy. The food was fair for the price, and I've gone back several times. Cheerful owners make the dining experience fun and homey.
MoreFood was a little on the bland side and the room was impossibly cramped. Service was awesome!
MoreThis place is very very family owned. Super personable owners, very sweet. I was expecting the teriyaki to look a little different but, it was still good! overall the meal was yummy! although i wasnt a fan of the sauce on the egg roll. They also have a fun game to play while waiting for food, overall a great experience lots of fun playing the game, yummy food and exceptional customer service.
MoreThis is VERY family owned. The couple that run this place were there and ready to talk about everything from chinese zodiac signs to the history of the restaurant (30+ years now) to their daughter (a professional pianist). I ordered teriyaki chicken and it tasted more like a homemade dinner than the typical teriyaki I expect from a teriyaki restaurant. The cost was a bit high as well. Also, I was the only customer from about noon to one on a Friday, not what I would expect at a restaurant only blocks from downtown.
MoreI am sorry, I hate to give bad public reviews, but this place was God awful... I honestly have no idea why people are giving it good reviews, in fact I wish I had read Ken's review before stopping in. The gentleman running the place was very kind, but it couldn't make up for whatever that was that he served. He called it teriyaki, but it had a watery gravy over boiled chicken breast served with "fried brown rice" that had what looks to be mushroom gravy in it. The egg roll that he served with it had what I can only describe as seafood cocktail sauce on it.
MoreUgh! Highly disappointed in the food. If I wanted microwaved asian inspired food and 3-day old soggy rice I would've purchased a tv dinner from the local supermarket and would've enjoyed it more. But, the owners made my nearly 30 mile journey to this recommended restaurant most enjoyable, and it was my pleasure to have patronized their restaurant, allbeit my first and only time doing so. 30 minute drive (my own choice) + $12 for the Ho-Ho not-so-special Special + the parking fee = a not-so-memorable experience.
MoreThe decoration was beautiful. It creates a wonder atmosphere which is just reinforced by how charming the couple running it is. The menu is somewhat small but very well priced. We got the Ho Ho special, which was teriyaki chicken, brown rice, and an egg roll. It was amazing. Especially the teriyaki chicken. This may be my new favorite teriyaki in the city. The only slight downside I found was that they only accept cash, but that was easily fixed by the atm just upstairs. I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in local restaurants, or amazing teriyaki.
MoreYo bro get chicken at ho ho, to go go
It was really really delicious ❤️I want meet owner again 😭He is very kind.
MoreThis place was a great experience for my family and child. She loved learning the game and the food was amazing. Best egg roll I have ever had.
MoreIt's a one man show. A lot of love is put into the food that this delightful, older chef makes. What he lacks in speed he makes up for in charm. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. I will be sure to go again next time I'm I visit The Flour Mill.
MoreWonderful service. Run by an older gentleman that is so nice! We always stop for his tempura. The best tempura we have ever had!!
MoreI went in for the first time today. It was absolutely HORRIBLE. The owner, a very elderly man, who is very sweet, microwaved everything. It was stale, gross and bad. Then as he was boxing it up, he was COUGHING ALL OVER IT.I wanted to run out. I normally would have seriously called him on this, but he is a sweet old man. So, I paid nearly $15 for food I threw away.Don't recommend.
MoreThis place is still here and the owners are too! The batter on their tempura is so good! Just like I remember it ❤️
MoreWonderfully little place for lunch or casual dinner. Nice people.
place is simply awesome. the couple who works there are great conversationalists. the food is amazing as well.
